PATACREER: relaunch of a historic French brand
After the rescue (in 2014) and relaunch of the Mako Moulages brand by Agnès Beuchet (class of '98), which we reported on in our article of December 4, 2020(see article), it's now the turn of another iconic brand in the French gaming world to make a place for itself in the sun: Patacreer.
Emmanuel de Calan (class of 2004) joined forces with the historic founder last summer to develop this French initiative.
Promoting French know-how
Based in Aurec-sur-Loire, PATACREER is the only French manufacturer of modeling clay. Founded in 2013 by Patrice, the company has been accelerating its development since the summer of 2023 with the arrival of Emmanuel de Calan.
PATACREER is the last modelling clay manufacturer in France!
New range, new concepts and new website online since April 2024. Patacreer sees itself as the "Lego of modeling clay", with 3 key concepts:
- LOCAL = the workshop is in Aurec sur Loire near Saint Etienne
- SUSTAINABLE = we offer a range without plastic and with cardboard from sustainably managed forests
- EDUCATIONAL = we transmit values of respect for others and preservation of the planet.
ALL while having fun, of course!
Emmanuel de Calan (class of 2004)
Emmanuel de Calan graduated from ESSCA in 2004 with a specialization in Sales, Distribution and Marketing, and has spent his entire career in the FMCG sector.
He began his career in the spirits sector with Bacardi as Key Account Sales Manager, then moved on to Color Foods (dried fruit processing and trading) as Sales Director and finally, since 2020, to Made IT, a family business specializing in Italian gastronomy, as Sales and Marketing Director.
Last summer, he embarked on a major entrepreneurial adventure, acquiring a stake in Patacreer alongside the company's founder to develop its range of 100% French educational games based on modeling clay.
Editor's note: We'll certainly be seeing this in our 2024 Christmas catalog, but for the summer of 2024, a good idea for a creative leisure activity for our children... and grandchildren!
