Made in France and reindustrialization,
the example of 1083 jeans
Guest
Thomas HURIEZ,
creator of the 1083 denim brand
"1083" stands for the 1083 km separating Porspoder and Menton, the two furthest points in France.
While a pair of jeans travels up to 65,000 km between manufacture and sale, jeans and shoes made in Marseille or Romans sur Isère (the former shoe capital of France) benefit the French economy to the tune of 99%.
How can we break the manufacturing habits that have led to the sharp decline of industry in France?
How can we help to recreate an industrial sector in France, and thus breathe new life into entire regions that were once paradises of French manufacturing?
We'll be discussing these and many other questions with Thomas HURIEZ.
