ChangeNOW/Les Echos ranking

The 4th edition of the ChangeNOW/Les Echos ranking of the leading business and engineering schools most committed to the ecological and social transition was published at the beginning of November.

ESSCA is ranked 2nd best business school recruiting only post-baccalaureate candidates, and has moved up 2 places in the overall rankings.

The awards evaluate the schools' commitment in each of the following categories:

  • Training
  • Employability and academic excellence
  • Corporate strategy
  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Alumni network with impact
  • Involvement of student associations

In the "Diversity and Inclusion" category , ESSCA came 1st among post-baccalaureate schools, and scored the highest number of points in the "Alumni Network in Impact" category.

These results demonstrate the considerable progress made by the school in recent years on the subject of ecological and social transition, as also attested by the fact that, at the end of 2023, it was awarded the DD&RS label for the maximum duration.

ESSCA enters the Shanghai ranking

For the first time, ESSCA has been included in the Shanghai 2024 Global Ranking of Academic Subjects (GRAS ), produced annually since 2009 by China's Jiao Tong University.

The Ecole ranks in the " Business Administration " category among the world's top 400 institutions in this field, along with 18 other French business schools and universities.

Published on November 11, 2024, the Shanghai ranking list evaluates the commitment of higher education institutions to their research activities according to 55 themes, in the fields of natural sciences, engineering, life sciences, medical sciences and social sciences.

More than 1,900 out of 5,000 higher education institutions in 96 countries and regions are included in this ranking, which uses a series of objective academic indicators and third-party data to measure their performance in their respective fields worldwide.

The evaluation criteria are divided into 5 main categories:

  • A world-class faculty
  • World-class production
  • High-quality research
  • Research with impact
  • International collaboration

Based solely on research, the Shanghai ranking takes into account articles published in Q1 "Web of Science" journals, i.e. those ranked in the top 25 in terms of impact factor.

ESSCA's inclusion in this ranking demonstrates the high quality of the intellectual contributions published by its research faculty over the last 5 years, making ESSCA a world-renowned institution in terms of academic excellence.
