Essca rankings in Le Point

"Le Point" magazine this week published its 2024 ranking of business schools, accompanied by a 20-page dossier entitled "Ecoles de management - Le grand chambardement".

Among 37 schools awarding the Master's degree, ESSCA is ranked 2nd post-baccalaureate business school and 15th overall. It remains stable in relation to 2023, scoring 47 points on a par with Excelia and ICN Business School, and is behind IESEG, down 3 places. The current hierarchy of schools is stable overall.

The methodology is built around 6 main criteria: pedagogy, international, professionalization, selectivity, research and academic recognition.

On the international criterion, ESSCA ranks 12th overall. Le Point measures the percentage of expatriates among 2023 graduates, their average Toeic score, their time spent abroad, as well as the proportion of international students and professors at the school and the number of foreign partner universities.

There was also a 6-point increase in the pedagogy criterion, which evaluates the quality of student supervision, the number of research professors and the number of double degrees offered with another French higher education institution.

Finally, ESSCA reaches the level of the Top 10 schools for the criterion of average annual salary of young graduates, which is at level 2 from €42,000 to €50,000 (out of 6 possible levels; level 1 being the best).

As you can see, each ranking has its own methodology and weighting, with choices of criteria and trade-offs that only partially capture everything that constitutes the identity, quality and added value of business schools, unlike national and international labels and accreditations.
