Based in Bordeaux since 2016, ESSCA School of Management recently moved to a new campus.

This exceptional building, emblematic of the Bordeaux landscape, is the former Officers' Mess of the Caserne Niel, built in 1877. The school has carried out major conservation and renovation work on it, at a cost of 25 million euros.

At the heart of the fast-growing Bastide Niel urban development zone, this campus offers the best possible student experience and learning conditions, within an intergenerational ecosystem.

In its first year of operation, it will welcome just over 700 students.

Inaugurated on October 5, ESSCA's new Bordeaux site is in line with the Odyssée 20/24 strategic plan. It reinforces the school's multi-campus dimension, and the ties that now bind it to Spain with the opening of a new campus in Malaga.

By carefully selecting its locations in French and European cities (Aix-en-Provence, Angers, Bordeaux, Budapest, Lyon, Luxembourg, Paris, Malaga and Strasbourg), ESSCA contributes to the development of cross-border scientific and academic synergies. This multi-campus strategy systematically takes into account corporate social responsibility and sustainable development. Students are the first to benefit, with dedicated courses and environmentally-friendly campuses.

Located in the extension of the glass-and-steel campanile, the architecture of the building's elevation has created a rooftop with a breathtaking view of the new Niel district.
A space we've already identified for future Bordeaux alumni events!

A more complete article will shortly retrace the genesis of this refurbishment, and in particular the technical aspects, which had to resolve a number of challenges.
