Does money make you happy? Numerous studies have attempted to answer this question, and a consensus seems to be emerging: yes, money does make you happy, but only up to a certain point. Once you can afford housing, food and clothing, the accumulation of wealth doesn't make you any happier. In France, the threshold would be around 3,000 euros monthly salary, according to INSEE.

While money isn't always the key to happiness, a lack of money can create a lot of problems: in relationships, loss of self-confidence, bad decisions and so on.

True wealth is financial independence: being able to live comfortably without worrying about money!

To achieve it, you don't need to win the lottery, inherit from your great-uncle, or create a start-up. You just need to follow 4 steps:

  • Saving: the aim is to gradually save 20% of your salary every month.
  • Maximize your salary: progress faster in your career to better negotiate your remuneration.
  • Buy your apartment as quickly as possible to avoid wasting rent
  • Invest in the stock market to generate a second source of income.

Soon after graduating from ESSCA, I started helping colleagues and friends with these 4 themes.

I've been coaching for 17 years and recently published a book called "The Millionaire for Everyone" which describes exactly how to achieve financial independence.
