Speakers Mini Bios

Nuria López. Partner and Head of Technology, Privacy, and Data Protection at Daniel Advogados. PhD in Theory and Philosophy of Law from PUC-SP. Lecturer in postgraduate programs at the Mackenzie University and IBGC. 

Sofia Chang. Participates in the Data Governance and Regulation Group at Zetta, an association of technology companies offering digital financial services. Researcher at the Center for Technology and Society of the Getúlio Vargas Foundation (CTS FGV) in Rio de Janeiro, as part of the CyberBRICS project. She is a lawyer, holding a Bachelor's degree in Law from UFMG and a Master's degree in Transnational Law from the University of Beijing. She works in the financial market, focusing on privacy and artificial intelligence governance. 

Thiago Moraes. PhD candidate in Law at the University of Brasilia (UnB) and Vrije Universiteit Brussels (VUB). He serves as the Coordinator of Innovation and Research at the Brazilian Data Protection Authority (ANPD) and was the first Data Protection Officer of this regulatory agency. He holds certifications in data protection. He was awarded an LLM in Law & Technology from Tilburg University, and a Master's in Information Science, and a Bachelor's degrees in Law and Network Engineering from UnB. Additionally, he is a co-founder and advisor at the Laboratory of Public Policies and the Internet (LAPIN). 

Camila Villard Duran. Associate Professor of Law at ESSCA School of Management, France. She holds a "livre docência"(HDR) in International Economics from the Institute of International Relations (IRI) Iof the University of São Paulo-USP. She was awarded a Ph.D. in law from USP and Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She was a postdoctoral researcher in the Oxford-Princeton Global Leaders Fellowship Program.
