Following the release of the Financial Times 2024 rankings, here's what the school has to say.

At the beginning of September, as in previous years, the Financial Times published its annual ranking of the best management programs, including both Masters in Management and Masters of Science.

As a triple-accredited Grande Ecole, ESSCA is once again among the top 100 Masters in Management in the world. However, its ranking is 26 places lower than in 2023.

To be included in this list, you must meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • data provided by the school via a specific questionnaire,
  • data collected directly by the Financial Times from graduates of the Grande Ecole program - this year's class of 2016/2021 - via a dedicated questionnaire. Only institutions with at least 20% of graduates in the class surveyed are ranked.

The ranking is established on the basis of 19 grading criteria, 8 of which come directly from our graduates' responses and represent 56% of the final score, of which salary 3 years after graduation is a major indicator. This year, 25% of graduates responded to the Financial Times questionnaire (29% in 2023). For the most important criteria, they declared an annual salary 3 years after graduation US$1,817 lower than that of the previous graduating class, which also implies a lower evolution of salary since their 1st job. Their assessment of the range of career support services offered by the school and the alumni network during their studies has improved since the last ranking.

ESSCA is assessed on the quality and internationalization of its faculty, students and governance, on its gender equality policy with regard to all its stakeholders, and also on its CSR actions. This last criterion, as well as ESSCA's international positioning, showed a positive trend.

Finally, in the Masters in Management section of the rankings issue, ESSCA is highlighted through several testimonials in two articles, one dedicated to female entrepreneurship "Business schools target a fair start for women in start-ups" and the other to self-confidence "Self-confidence climbs the business school curriculum".

ESSCA is more than ever mobilized to work towards its progress.
