Sophie Delannoy, a transgender woman racing in the Mini Transat 2025

I'm a 57-year-old transgender woman, passionately living my second life since 2018!

A developer and a pioneer: 30 years of shopping center development at Auchan, 13 years as a commercial court judge, two years as managing director of the Fondation le Refuge, and now skipper of the Mini 6.50 class, officially qualified for the Mini Transat 2025.

👩 A committed woman: member of the board of the Autre cercle, Rotary club president.

🌈A recognized career: LGBT role model of the other circle in 2019, chevalière de l'ordre national du mérite in June 2024.

My goal:

DEMONSTRATE that authenticity is a source of success

PROMOTING diversity in ocean racing

WIN a visible LGBT+ skipper

CONTRIBUTE to the positive visibility of LGBT people +.

My project

• race the 2023/2024/2025 seasons in the mini class, making no secret of my trans-identity
• take the start of the 2025 mini transat (Vendée - Canaries - Guadeloupe)
• prepare for the 2027 global solo challenge (non-stop solo race around the world).
